"O LORD, we wait for You;
Your name and remembrance are the desire of our soul." Isa. 26:8

Hunter
Some dogs chase foxes. Some dogs chase squirrels. Some dogs chase birds. Some dogs chase mice. Our dog, the fearless Bingles, chases leaves. Today is windy, and he is in heaven. =) How I wish I could find my camera!

Bingley Update
Thanks, everyone, for praying for Bingley. We've been fighting sickness in this house, so we didn't get to take him to the specialist until today. We went to Gateway Animal Clinic this morning. It was a bit of a wait, as we were told, but the kids were really good. Praise God! The staff and doctor were all super friendly and seemed very knowledgeable.
The doctor said he doesn't think Bingley has Legg Perthes. That is a very fast progressing disease. He said if that was Bingley's condition, he would be immobile by now. He thinks the deformity at the top of the femur is just a little hip displasia, which shouldn't bother him much since he's such a little dog. So that's a big praise!
There are a couple other things it could be. His best guess was a back injury. He gave Bingley an anti-inflammatory medicine and said to call back if that didn't make a difference in the next 5 days. So you can join me in praying Bingley will continue to heal.
Thanks again!

Please Pray for Bingley
Our dear Shitzu, Mr. Bingley, has been walking funny and favoring his one back leg for the last few weeks. He saw the vet today, and the diagnosis wasn't good. He said that he's not positive, but he thinks Bingley may have a serious and painful condition called Legg-Perthes Disease, which involves a spontaneous degeneration of the head of the femur bone. Poor Bing! Please pray for him.
I already found a clinic here run by a rescue that does orthopedic surgeries for a greatly reduced cost. I'm hoping to have them take a look at him next week to confirm the diagnosis and give us their recommendation on how to proceed. Praise God for that provision! But miraculous, complete healing would be my preference, of course!

The Toy is Always Better...
...on the other side of the mirror.
Yesterday I was doing dishes when I heard Bingley start barking and scratching like crazy. Finally I went in the living room to see what was going on. William had brought the mirror down from upstairs, and Bingley was trying desperately to get at the toy he saw that other doggie had. He seemed confused by my laughter.

Bingley and the Baby
Bingley is doing a little better with the baby. Like a youngest child, he appears to be both jealous and curious. I am trying to be patient but firm with him. I guess I really have four children...

Now I See
Poor Bingley was in desperate need of a haircut. He let me trim up around his neck and feet, but not his face. So today, since we were home from school yet again with colds, I finally took him to the groomer's. I always feel bad taking him there- he starts shaking as soon as we get in the van. But I can't help thinking he's happier now that he can see.
