Visiting Grammy Iva

Last weekend we finally made it to Grammy Iva's to celebrate Christmas. Talk about belated! We had beautiful weather and everyone was healthy. Praise God! We had a great time hanging out, visiting, meeting Iva's new puppy Gracie, and playing at the Children's Museum. Lily even got a sleepover with Ella. Sweet memories!

God's Steadfast Love

Larissa Murphy does such a great job of putting into words the experience of walking with disability while trusting God. Her latest post five.years. is worth reading. She retells the story of how "who ian was for 21 years was left in the car that was towed off the highway." Then she recounts how God has met her in the trial that began that day five years ago. She ends by saying, "...and i see that our lives our full. they are sad and exhausting, but they are full. and god is the one who has filled them."

The Other Side of the World

Friends of ours from Providence are spending a month in Kenya on a medical mission. They have two kids the same ages as William and Lily. We've been following their blog and looking at pictures of Kenya on the internet.

Lily has a special affection for their Ella, and so she has been praying for her while she's on her big trip. We bought a blow up globe and found Kenya and Lily likes to tell people about her friend on the other side of the world. I'm looking forward to hearing Ella tell Lily about all her experiences when they get back.

Just Like Jessica

This week we got to spend two days with Jessica, the girl from church who was my mother's helper a couple summers ago. The kids enjoyed her as much as ever!

Visitors

This past week we had the treat of having our dear friends, the Stengeles, stop on their way to and from Wisconsin. We had fun catching up, joking around, and trying out the apple kringle they brought us. Yummy! They are our third set of friends to visit us from NJ- pretty amazing considering the distance.
