Always Christmas

A few weeks ago, William made this Santa and hung it on our front door window. It makes me smile every time I look at it. In this house, it's always Christmas and sometimes winter.

Mark: Who is this Jesus who makes the issue His own diety, yet heals in secret? who has biting critiques for the pious of the day, but welcomes the sinners and children with open arms? Who is this Jesus who controls nature and sickness and devils and death yet submits Himself to torture and humiliation? Who is this Jesus who goes about predicting his own death and resurrection, and then shocks everyone by actually rising again? Who is He? Is He the Jesus I worship?

Matthew: I feel like there's more to Matthew, but after two times through, I think I need to move on. Sometimes as you continue, it sheds light on what came before. I'm hoping the other gospels help do that.
